Single boards

Most people only ever need one board, for one coworker. Kudoboard sells three standard sizes and one special board. The jump between them is mostly about how many posts fit and whether video is allowed.

The Premium package

If you send several boards a year, Kudoboard sells Premium boards in bundles. The 5 board package was listed at $35 a year, which works out at $7.00 a board against $9.99 bought singly. Packages of 10 and 25 boards are also offered at lower rates per board. Note the wording: the package is priced per year.

Business, Pro and Enterprise plans

For companies, Kudoboard prices by headcount in bands from 1 to 50 employees up to 451 to 500. Business ran from $39 to $195 a month, or from $299 a year with a saving of 36% or more for paying annually. It includes unlimited boards, multiple creators, basic analytics, tagging, likes and comments.

Pro ran from $59 to $295 a month, or from $449 a year. On top of Business it adds Slack and Microsoft Teams integration, advanced analytics, custom templates and priority support. Enterprise, for 501 employees and up, is quoted individually and adds SSO, HRIS integration, milestone automations, bulk creation, API access and a dedicated success manager.

The practical upshot: if you want birthdays and work anniversaries to appear automatically from your HR system, that sits on Enterprise.

What a typical office actually spends

Say a team of 30 sends a birthday board for each person and four farewell boards a year. Buying single boards, a Lite board fills up at 20 posts, so a team of 30 needs Premium for anything the whole team signs: 34 Premium boards at $9.99 comes to about $340. The 25 board package would cover most of that at a lower rate per board. A Business plan at $299 a year covers unlimited boards but not automation.
