How does Kudoboard work?
Kudoboard is an online board that a group fills with messages for one person. If you have been asked to organize one, or to sign one, this walkthrough explains each step, where the paid tiers come in, and how a card based tool like Thankeeu does the same job a little differently.

Quick answer
Kudoboard works in five steps: you create a board for the person, share a link with the group, everyone adds messages, photos, GIFs or video, you customize the background and fonts, and then you share it by link or email or schedule it for later. How many posts fit and whether video is allowed depends on the board you buy, from Lite at $6.99 to Milestone at $19.99, per its pricing page in October 2026.

Kudoboard details as listed on their pricing page in October 2026 (https://www.kudoboard.com/pricing). Not listed means we could not find it on that page, not that it is missing. Prices change, so check their site. Thankeeu prices on this page are live.
Step one: create the board
The organizer starts a board for the recipient and picks the occasion. Kudoboard describes this as bringing your group together to celebrate. At this point you also decide which board size you need, because the Lite, Premium and Milestone boards differ in how many posts they hold: 20, 100 or unlimited.
If your company has a Kudoboard Business or Pro plan, boards are covered by the subscription and multiple creators can start them.
Step two: invite people with a link
You share a link with the people who should sign. Most organizers drop it into a team chat or an email thread. Contributors open the link and post from their browser.
Step three: everyone posts
Each contributor adds a post: a message, a photo, a GIF, and on Premium boards and above, a video. The board shows posts as tiles on one page, a bit like a pinboard. On Lite boards, once 20 posts are in, the board is full.
Step four: customize and deliver
The organizer can change backgrounds, fonts and graphics. When the board is ready, Kudoboard says it can be shared instantly by direct link or email, or scheduled for future delivery. Milestone boards add a slideshow mode, and Kudoboard also sells printed books and posters that it ships in the US and internationally.
Gifts are handled separately: a gift card can be attached to a board, and employers can choose from a large gift catalog.
What the recipient sees
On Kudoboard the recipient opens one page of tiles, scrolls through the posts and can watch the slideshow on a Milestone board. It works well on a big screen, which is why some teams project the board at a farewell lunch.
On Thankeeu the recipient opens a card with their name on the cover. The pages flip like a book, and each message can carry a carousel of photos, GIFs and voice notes. They can reply to everyone at once with one thank you, and on Most Popular they also get the Memory Movie, a short film with music built from the whole card. If there is a gift pot, they claim it from the same place.
How Thankeeu does the same job
Thankeeu follows the same idea, one link and many signers, but the result is a card that opens like a book with pages that flip, plus a board wall view. A few things work differently:
- No size to choose up front: Every card has unlimited signers and messages, so you never pick a tier based on headcount
- Voice notes on every card: Signers can record audio as well as write, upload photos and add GIFs
- Gift pot inside the card: People chip in while they sign; the recipient claims it to their bank or as a digital gift card
- Time zone delivery: Schedule to the minute in the recipient’s own time zone, or share the link yourself
- Pay at the end: Create and collect for free, then choose Classic or Most Popular when you send
Tips for organizing either kind of card
Start a week ahead. Post the link where people already talk, not in a new channel nobody reads. Send one reminder two days before delivery; Thankeeu does this for you to anyone who opened the link but has not signed. Ask people for one memory, not a generic “congrats”.
Pick a delivery time when the person will actually read it. A card that arrives at 3 in the morning because the organizer is in a different time zone is a small but avoidable letdown.
How a Thankeeu card works, in four steps

- Share: Send one link. Signers need no account or app.
- Collect: Messages, photos, GIFs, voice notes and gift contributions arrive in one place.
- Send: Pay once and schedule it, or share the link yourself.
