Kudoboard details as listed on their pricing page in October 2026 (https://www.kudoboard.com/pricing). Not listed means we could not find it on that page, not that it is missing. Prices change, so check their site. Thankeeu prices on this page are live.

Why Australian workplaces look past Kudoboard

The farewell card is where the post cap bites. When someone finishes up after eight years, the whole floor wants to sign, plus the crew from the old project, plus the people who already moved to other companies. A Lite board on Kudoboard holds 20 posts and Premium holds 100. Thankeeu cards have no limit, so the last workmate to hear the news on Friday arvo still has room.

Voice is the other reason. A thirty second voice note from the site team who could not get to the farewell drinks says more than a typed line, and on Thankeeu voice notes come with every card. On Kudoboard’s pricing page, voice notes are not listed at all.

And then there is the gift. Most Australian offices still pass an envelope around for a farewell present. Thankeeu’s gift pot lets people chip in from the same link where they sign, so nobody has to chase cash or bank transfers.

Being upfront about currency

We would rather tell you now than at checkout. Thankeeu cannot charge in Australian dollars yet, so Australian cards are charged in US dollars and the gift pot takes contributions in US dollars too. We show an AUD estimate at today’s rate, and the fees are shown before anyone pays. Kudoboard also showed its prices in US dollars when we checked.

If paying in AUD matters more to your team than voice notes or a keepsake video, GroupTogether lists its prices in Australian dollars. We compare the two honestly on our GroupTogether alternative page.

Three time zones, and Queensland

Australia runs on at least three time zones, and daylight saving only applies in some states, so Brisbane and Sydney sit an hour apart for half the year. Thankeeu schedules every card to the minute in the recipient’s own time zone. Set a birthday card for 9 in the morning and it lands at 9 in Perth for the workmate in Perth, not at 7.

Cards Aussie workmates send most

Farewells come first, especially at the end of the financial year when contracts finish and people change jobs. Our farewell card for a workmate guide has wording for a boss, a close mate or someone you mostly knew from the lunch room.

Birthdays follow, then long service milestones, retirements and baby cards. For birthdays, see birthday cards for a workmate.

Fly in fly out crews, regional sites and the night shift

Plenty of Australian teams never sit in one room. Mining and construction crews rotate on and off site, hospital wards run around the clock, and regional offices might only see head office twice a year. A paper card cannot follow those people, and a capped board fills up with the day shift before the night shift has woken up.

One link fixes most of that. Workmates sign when it suits them, from a phone in the crib room or a laptop at home, and reminders go to anyone who opened the link but has not posted yet. A voice note recorded on a smoko break is often the most personal message on the whole card, because it sounds exactly like the person who sent it.

Organising is easier to share too. With a Most Popular card, up to five co admins can see who has signed, add photos and change the delivery time, so the farewell does not depend on one person remembering everything.

What you get on each plan

Thankeeu has no subscription. You create the card and collect every message for free, then pay once when you send. Live prices with an AUD estimate are just below.

For workplaces with a lot of birthdays

If your team sends a card every week, look at Thankeeu for Teams. It imports staff from HR systems such as BambooHR, HiBob or Deel, or from a spreadsheet, and creates birthday and work anniversary cards automatically. Kudoboard lists HRIS integration and milestone automations on its Enterprise plan; its Business plan starts at $299 a year for up to 50 employees.
