Quick answer

Thankeeu is a good GroupTogether alternative in the UK if you want voice notes on every card, video and a Memory Movie with Most Popular, and a whip round in pounds inside the card. GroupTogether’s UK pricing page listed its card at £4.50 in October 2026, with large packs that bring the price per card down further.

What GroupTogether offers UK teams

GroupTogether’s UK pricing page is simple: a single card for £4.50, and packs of 5 for £20, 10 for £37, 25 for £81, 50 for £155, 100 for £285 and 500 for £1,350. Each card comes with unlimited messages, photos and GIFs, a PDF download, thousands of templates or your own design, and email invitations with reminders. For a large organisation that sends hundreds of plain cards a year, those big packs are very good value per card, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Its UK page did not list money collection fees or voice and video messages when we checked. If you need those details, check with GroupTogether directly.

Why some UK offices choose Thankeeu instead

It comes down to what the leaver takes away. On Thankeeu, every card takes voice notes as well as messages, photos and GIFs. The Most Popular card adds video messages and the Memory Movie, a short film set to music that pulls together everyone’s messages, photos and voice notes. When a colleague leaves after fifteen years, hearing the people they trained say thank you is the part that lands.

The whip round is built in. Colleagues chip in any amount by card while they sign, in pounds, and fees are shown before anyone pays. The leaver claims the total to their bank account or as a digital gift card, so nobody is left holding an envelope of coins and a list of who owes what.

And timing: Thankeeu schedules delivery to the minute in the recipient’s own time zone. A card can arrive at half four on their last Friday, just as everyone heads to the pub.

On price

Please compare the live price in pounds in the pricing section with GroupTogether’s £4.50 card and the pack you would actually buy. For plain cards in large numbers, GroupTogether’s 500 card pack works out cheaper per card than anything we sell. Where Thankeeu earns its price is in voice notes, video, the Memory Movie and the built in whip round, and in credits that never run out.

Leaving cards, retirements and new baby cards

The leaving card is the classic British office card, and it is where we see most people switch. Our leaving card for a colleague guide has wording for everyone from your line manager to the work friend you will genuinely miss.

Birthday cards are next, and many UK teams keep a Pack for them; see birthday cards for a colleague. Retirement cards, new baby cards and get well soon cards round out the year, along with work anniversary cards for long service.

Getting the leaving card right, whichever tool you use

A few habits make any leaving card better. Start it as soon as the news is out, not on the Thursday before, so colleagues on annual leave or on a different rota still get their chance. Tell people roughly what to write: one memory, one thing they will miss, one wish for the new job. That turns a list of “good luck, all the best” into something the leaver will actually keep.

Keep the whip round free of pressure. On Thankeeu people can sign without chipping in, and any amount is welcome, so the new graduate and the director can both sign without awkwardness. If the leaver is moving abroad, schedule the card for their first morning in the new country, in their new time zone. And save a PDF copy for the office: it is a nice thing to have when someone asks, years later, what the team wrote.

What you get on each plan

There is no subscription. Every card is free to create and fill; you pay once when it is ready to send.

For HR teams and office managers

If you send a card for every birthday and service anniversary, Thankeeu for Teams can do it for you. It imports staff from Personio, HiBob, BambooHR and other HR systems, creates the cards automatically and gives the company its own workspace. GroupTogether’s UK pricing page does not list an automation plan.

Hybrid teams benefit most. People sign on their office days or at home, and reminders go out automatically to anyone who opened the link but has not yet posted, so the organiser does not have to chase the whole floor.
